This Is Not a Government Office. Gordon County Criminal History is a private reference site. It cannot retrieve official criminal records, conduct agency checks, change a record, or accept a Georgia record-restriction application or court filing.
Need an Official Record?
Send each Gordon County request to the office responsible for that specific record:
- Court case files: use Gordon County criminal court case records or call the Clerk of Superior Court public-record line at 706-629-2139 for felony files, dispositions, and filed criminal warrants. County court offices are at 201 N. Wall St., Calhoun, GA 30701.
- Arrest, booking, and jail records: contact the Gordon County Sheriff’s Jail Division at the Gordon County Justice Center, 2700 U.S. 41 N., Calhoun, GA 30701, 706-629-1244. Posted office hours are weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Georgia criminal histories: follow the Georgia Crime Information Center instructions through the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Local requirements and fees for personal record copies vary.
- Official fingerprint processing: use Georgia Applicant Processing Service and IdentoGO with the service code or agency ORI supplied by the authorized requesting agency.
- Police and incident reports: contact the agency that wrote the report. Calhoun Police records remain with Calhoun Police, while sheriff-created reports go to the Sheriff’s channel.
- Record restriction and sealing: use the current GCIC process under O.C.G.A. § 35-3-37 and the prosecutor or court responsible for the case. Restriction and judicial sealing are related but separate actions.
For county administrative records that do not belong to the court clerk or Sheriff, County Clerk Hollis Barton is the designated Georgia Open Records Act custodian at 201 N. Wall St., Calhoun, GA 30701, 706-629-3795. A court copy should still go to the court clerk, and a booking request should still go to the Sheriff or Jail Division.
